About Us

Before training as a nail technician i really had no idea what i wanted to do after having my 3 children. I have always loved art and drawing but never really considered nails as a career because all i had ever seen was the traditional pink & white nails, which if i am honest did'nt appeal to me.....untill one day; i noticed a lady with sparkly glitter tips and that grabbed my attention and i started looking into doing nails.
I reserached different courses and found a reputable nail compnay where i booked on a 5 day acrylic beginner course. I will admit it was so much harder than i thought it was going to be but i kept at it and passed in March 2006. Since then i have completed lots of courses and my NVQ LVL 3, i strive to get myself the best education, learn the latest techniques and update my skills on a regular basis to ensure i can provide my clients and students alike with the best service possible.
One of the major things i have learnt over the years is not to under estimate the power of education, it has been an invaluable tool that has seen my salon grow and grow even in a recession. In this industry there is always something new & exciting to learn and clients are always looking for something new.
Another thing i have done that has helped me learn a lot more about nails is competing in national and international competitions. I first started competing in March 2009 when i entered the Uk National Competition, i was encouraged to enter this by a nail technician friend and i felt that doing it would be a great learning tool as i would get feedback from the judges on the standard of my work. Since then i have got addicted !! i love competing and although it takes a lot of practice, hard work and dedication it defiantly pays off in the end. Since winning my very first trophy in the Fancy French Category in 2009, i now have another 25 national and international awards.
My proudest moments to date are winning the Uk Nail Art Championships 2011 and later that year the 2 silver medals i won at the International Nailympics Competition. I have represented the UK at the nailympics 2012 & 2013 and am so happy to say that i won UK TOP TECH 2012 AND in 2013!! I have been nominated for several Industry awards the last couple of years like the prestigious Nail Professional of the Year Award, Scratch stars Nail stylist of the year and mixed media nail artist of the year. In March 2014 i achieved one of my goals by winning Nail Professional of the Year 2014 !!!! Winning this award has meant so much to me as i feel i have been recognised for the hard work, dedication and passion i have for this wonderful industry, so to win it again in 2016 was a dream come true :)
I feel i have learnt so much and i now want to pass on these skills, knowledge and passion i have for nails to you.I am an independent educator and I have developed a full range of courses and workshop training days available for beginners through to advanced so there is something for everyone. All my beginner, progression and e-file courses are accredited by Professional Beauty, one of the UK's leading trade & insurance companies.
